Stance is pretty self-explanatory. Stance can be defined by your attitude to what is at hand. This can be your opinion on a certain issue.

I example would be How I mentioned a hurricane in our engineering proposal. My stance would be that New York DOES need emergency energy and data in evacuation centers. Me mentioning what happened as a result of this hurricane would hopefully persuade the reader of my stance.

My opinion of stance now is the same as it was at the beginning of the semester. However, I realized that I used to forget to inform the audience about my stance, and now I’ve gotten better at explaining my stance.
